The Ucluelet Secondary school is a seismic retrofit, renovation, and large building addition comprising 2 wings Administrative and Academic.  The existing gym, locker rooms and woodshop were structurally upgraded, renovated and handed over for occupancy for use of the school for the 2021/2022 school year and form a portion of the administrative wing. The existing footprint of the existing building was expanded to include a new NLC room, administrative office area, learning commons, foods classroom and library. 

The second wing comprises 8 classrooms including a new music classroom, art classroom, 2 use specific science classrooms, and all related infrastructure for efficient school function. The two wings are adjoined by a sweeping curved steel breezeway. The overall footprint of the building is in the shape of a salmon which is an acknowledgement of the first nations history of this area of which salmon is a precious resource.
