BUSINESS MODEL

Our Business Model:

There are two ways in which we perform work:
  1. Our team at Mode follows a Construction Management model on large projects where we can also self perform much of the building. The benefits of a CM model for the clients are:
    • Transparency to the owner with regards to fees, trade selection, pricing, decision making, margins and changes to the contract.
    • Construction Management leads to a collaborative approach to building between the owner, trades, consultants, and CM firm.
    • Fairness and Accountability. CM is based on a mutual agreement of these two core values between the owner and the firm. Adherence to these values by both parties leads to a balance that drives efficacy in construction projects
  2. We also offer stipulated price tenders for projects for which we are not using a CM model. Shorter duration jobs, or projects below a dollar value threshold at which CM would be cost prohibitive. A total contract price will be offered based on a well defined scope of work by the owner or their representative. We will enter into a CCDC 2 contract that offers protection to both parties in terms of performance, quality standards, changes to the contract, billing and payment etc.
